Veneers

Our team of Doctors at Blessed Dental utilize an advanced veneer procedure that is the best in the dental profession and our patients receive magnificent results.

Veneers are a dental procedure that places a cover over the outside of the tooth.  The advantage of veneers is much less tooth material is removed and the procedure is generally more comfortable than receiving a crown.  Veneers are recommended for teeth that have large fillings and/or little structure.  Veneers are usually done to the part of the tooth visible when talking or smiling.  This procedure can be direct or indirect.

Veneers (Direct)

The direct technique involves place composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding.  This method is usually referred to as bonding.

Veneers (Indirect)

The indirect technique usually involves two appointments because the veneers are fabricated at a dental laboratory.  The first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions are taken and the teeth are given a temporary covering.  After two or three weeks the veneers return from the laboratory, the temporary covers are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth.  The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very appealing.
